Creativity : Right Brain vs Left Brain

There are many articles about how brain activity differs for "creative" and "logical" people. Where does creativity come from? How brain acts for creativity? Are people who think creatively different from those who tend to think in a more methodical fashion? Brain Activity Differs For Creative And Noncreative Thinkers

A recent study led by John Kounios, professor of Psychology at Drexel University and Mark Jung-Beeman of Northwestern University answers these questions by comparing the brain activity of creative and noncreative problem solvers. The study, published in the journal Neuropsychologia, reveals a distinct pattern of brain activity, even at rest, in people who tend to solve problems with a sudden creative insight -- an "Aha! Moment" - compared to people who tend to solve problems more methodically.

How can Mike change the way thousands of people at his company think and behave every day? What about changing the way a whole organization behaves? The consistently poor track record in this area tells us it’s a challenging aspiration at best.

Why many leadership efforts and organizational change initiatives fall flat. Kindly read the article:The Neuroscience of Leadership by David Rock and Jeffrey Schwartz at Strategy+Business.

Bicameral Images reveal our two selves

"Okay, I made up the term, but it fits so well in describing an extremely interesting phenomenon that many people may not realize -- each of us is really two people. No, I don't mean in the traditional sense of having an alter-ego, or a good and bad side. Nor do I mean that we are all schizoids. I mean we are literally two thinking beings residing in the same body."
